100% FREE COLLEGE TUITION

By becoming a member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard you will be entitled to 100% free college tuition at any state funded college or university. Tuition is free up to 130 semester hours (4 yrs) and may be applied to all degree programs up to the doctorate level. The provisions of the state law apply equally to both part-time and full-time students, but only the day school program. This program is available to ALL members of the Air National Guard and may be used IN CONJUNCTION WITH the Montgomery GI Bill. Free tuition is available at the following schools:

THE MONTGOMERY GI BILL

In conjunction with the free state college tuition, members of the Massachusetts Air National Guard are also entitled to receive Montgomery GI Bill benefits. The Montgomery GI Bill is provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs who will pay you up to $251 per month while you pursue a college degree or technical training. It is available to members who agree to serve for a period of six years and covers a wide variety of educational endeavors to include: traditional college studies up to the graduate level, flight training, vocational and technical training, OJT Training, apprenticeship, correspondence, and cooperative training programs. The maximum amount of benefit is $9,036 which equals 36 months of payments at $251.00 per month, or the equivalent if not full-time. these benefits are TAX FREE paid directly to you as follows:

12 semester hours: $251.00 per month
9 semester hours: $188.25 per month
6 semester hours: $125.50 per month
3 semester hours: $62.75 per month

This is a non-contributory program, that means you don't pay anything for it.
