About the Band

The Air National Guard Band of the Northeast is a thirty-five member unit attached to Massachusetts State Headquarters. We are supported by the 104th Fighter Wing at Barnes Air National Guard Base but physically located at Massachusetts National Guard Headquarters in Milford, MA. The mission of the band is to support Air Force recruiting, public relations and direct support to the units of the Massachusetts Air National Guard and all Air National Guard units in New England and New York. The band performs an average of forty engagements a year. These performances include parades, military balls, radio broadcasts, summer park concerts, television specials, formal evening concerts and military ceremonies. The band is seen and heard by over a million and a half people yearly. In December of 1999 the band's designation was changed from "The Band of Cape Cod" to "The Air National Guard Band of the Northeast". In 2000 the 567th Air Force Band designation was dropped.
